Tournament Rules, U7MD & U8MD Jamboree (Thorold Amateur Athletic Association)

INFORMATION 

The 1st Annual Future Stars Jamboree is hosted by The Thorold Amateur Athletic Association. The Tournament takes place in the City of Thorold, January 23 and 24th, 2026.

 This is an OMHA-sanctioned Jamboree for U7 MD. Sanction Number: 38285

$750.00 Team Entry Fee includes; 

• 3 games 

• Games will be played at the Thorold Doherty Arena 

• Pizza lunch on Saturday 

Rules & Regulations

1. All OMHA Rules & Regulations will be followed for this Jamboree.  This jamboree is sanctioned by OMHA. 

2. All teams, team officials, and parents/spectators are required to adhere to the OMHA Code of Conduct. 

3. Registration fees for U7 MD are $750 and are due upon tournament acceptance..  Refunds will not be issued after Sunday, December 27, 2025.

4. Team registration covers one (1) full team for both cross-ice sections. Teams will be divided and play simultaneously on both sides of the ice. Partial or half-team registrations will not be accepted.

5. All teams must submit a copy of their sanctioned travel permit and their OMHA approved team roster through the Team Portal by Monday, January 9th, 2026. Failure to do so may result in removal from the jamboree.

6. Games will start on time and run ahead of schedule if possible.  Teams are required to be ready at least 15 minutes before the scheduled game time. Failure to do so may result in a forfeit of the game.

9. Eight (8) teams will be accepted on a first-come come first-served basis.  Payment is required to secure your team’s spot in the jamboree.  

10. All games will be cross-ice format per OMHA Jamboree rules.  Two cross ice modified games will run simultaneously with blue pucks and small nets. 

11. Games will be two x 22-minute periods (run time) with two (2) two-minute buzzer being used for shift change. 

12. OMHA referees will be officiating games. Coaches are not permitted on the ice unless assisting an injured player. 

13. Coaches may be asked to help move the dividers, nets, etc. during floods.  

14. All teams will play three (3) games total.  This is a fun jamboree - scores will not be kept.

15. Immediately following each team’s second game, there will be a fun shootout for players to have a chance to have a shot on net.  No scores are kept.
