HOCKEY PROGRAM INFORMATION



HOCKEY SCHOOL - Recreational - Under 5 (2021 and younger) 
Hockey School programs are designed to introduce young children to the basics of ice hockey, often starting as early as ages 4and 5. These programs focus on fundamental skating skills, puck handling, and learning the rules of the game. Players should be able to skate unassisted. This program is ideal for those who are new to hockey and have basic skating skills. The program runs 1x per week from mid-October to mid-March. Registration Fee $325


U7 Minor Development  *New for 2025* -Representative (2019 and younger)

Our U7 MD (Minor Development) program is designed for advanced players aged 5 and 6 who have demonstrated strong skating and basic hockey skills. This program provides a higher level of competition and skill development while maintaining a fun, team-focused environment. It is ideal for players who are committed to improving their game and have aspirations of playing competitive hockey.
The program runs 2-3x per week with games at other centres within the Niagara District Hockey League Loop. This program also attends away tournaments. Practices begin in September with games November through March. 
Registration Fee $660 + Rep Fee $300 + Jersey Fee +$175 

Tryouts will be held in the Fall. 

U7 Junior Hawks - Recreational - Under 7 (2019 and younger)
The U7 program is delivered through a progressive, learn-to-play teaching curriculum for 5-6-yearolds. The skills of skating, puck control, passing and shooting are introduced and refined one step at a time. The focus is on fun and skill development, but the early years of hockey should also allow youngsters to experience fitness, fair play and cooperation. The program runs 2x per week from mid-October to mid-March. Registration Fee $475


U8 & U9 Minor Development Program - Representative (2018 & 2017)
Our U8 and U9 Minor Development program is designed for players who show a higher level of skill and commitment to the game. Following Hockey Canada's U9 Player Pathway, this program emphasizes advanced skill development, including skating, puck control, passing, and game strategies. Players will experience a more competitive environment, with a focus on developing both individual abilities and team concepts, all while maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere. The program typically includes 2 practices and 2 games per week. Ice times vary on holiday weekends or blackout dates for tournaments.
Registration Fee $660 + Rep Fee $300 + Jersey Fee +$175

Players will experience a recreational environment, with a focus on developing both individual abilities and team concepts, all while maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere. The program typically includes 1 practice and 1-2 games per week. Ice times vary on holiday weekends or blackout dates for tournaments.

U11 through U18 Representative Program (2015 to 2008)

Our U11 through U18 Representative program is designed for players who show a higher level of skill and commitment to the game. Following Hockey Canada's Player Pathway, this program emphasizes advanced skill development, including skating, puck control, passing, and game strategies. Players will experience a more competitive environment, with a focus on developing both individual abilities and team concepts, all while maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere. The program typically includes 2 practices and 2 games per week. Ice times vary on holiday weekends or blackout dates for tournaments.

Program Timeline:

  • Practices: Begin in September, focusing on advanced skill development and team play

  • Games: Run from November to March, played within the Niagara District League Loop and against other centers in Niagara and Hamilton 

All representative programs are subject to additional fees. 

  • $130 tryout fee (non-refundable regardless of whether the player is offered a spot)

  • Base Registration Fee $795

  • Representative Program Fees $400

  • Jersey Fee $175

Players will experience a recreational environment, with a focus on developing both individual abilities and skills, team concepts,  while maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere. The program typically includes 1 practice and 1-2 games per week. Ice times vary on holiday weekends or blackout dates for tournaments.
Registration Fee $795

Program Timeline:

U21B Representative Program

Approximately 2 days/week (practices/game) will vary due to game scheduling.

The U21 program will be available in the fall with enough interest and will follow the Hockey Canada, OMHA and NDHL guidelines. 

Games are played at various locations within the Beechy loop. Ice times vary on holiday weekends or blackout dates for tournaments.
