PROGRAM INFORMATION - LOCAL LEAGUE

            
Hockey School -  1 day per week 

U6 Fundamentals is a structured, learn-to-play hockey program for players aged 4 to 5, that uses Hockey Canada's U7 Program curriculum to teach beginners basic technical skills (skating, puck handling, stopping, passing, turning and shooting) in an atmosphere that stresses FUN, cooperation and fair play. The participants must be able to stand on the ice with skates.
             
U7 Initiation   -  2 days per week 

The U7 program is an introduction to hockey in a safe, fun, and positive environment. The program is structured as a confidence building and learn-to-play experience designed to introduce players to basic hockey skills and team-play. The U7 Hockey Canada Player pathway is designed for players 5 and 6 years old and is suitable to all skill levels at this age group. U7 runs Saturdays and Sundays, and averages 2 days per week.

U8 and U9

Games are played within the Niagara District Loop at various locations
Cross ice 4 on 4 : (U9 only will start full ice games in  January, 5 on 5)
The U8 and U9 program focuses on skill development in a half-ice environment. The U9 player pathway is designed specifically for 7 and 8 year old players

U11 to U18

The U11 to U18 programs follow the Hockey Canada, OMHA and NDHL guidelines.
Games are 5 on 5 full ice for the entire season and are played at various locations within the Niagara District Loop.
Practice once per week , with additional games home or away
Weekly ice time will vary due to schedules 



PROGRAM INFORMATION - REPRESENTATIVE

 Additional Fees

All representative programs will be subject to the following fees in addition to the base fee noted above:
      *  $130 tryout fee (non-refundable regardless of whether the player is offered a spot on

               the rep team)  
      *  $175 jersey fee (home and away) +++ (keep jersey)
      *  Travel fee (amount still to be determined by division – approximately $350-500,

               only payable if a player is successful in earning a spot on the rep team)

U13B, U15B, U18B (U16)

Approximately  3-4 days/week (2 practices/game) ++++will vary due to game scheduling
The U11 to U18 programs follow the Hockey Canada, OMHA and NDHL guidelines. Games are 5 on 5 full ice for the entire season and are played at various locations within the Niagara District loop.

U21B

Approximately 2 days/week (practices/game) ++++ will vary due to game scheduling
The U21 program will be available in the fall with enough interest and will follow the Hockey Canada, OMHA and NDHL guidelines.
Games are 5 on 5 full ice for the entire season and are played at various locations within the Beechy loop.



+          Registration fee includes entry into one home tournament hosted by TAAA

              (if available U11 – U18 only)
++        Paid Timekeepers
+++      Local League - Jersey is included to keep at end of season 

+++      Representative - jerseys are kept at end of season- can be used the next season

             (note conditions apply)
++++    Ice times vary on holiday weekends or blackout dates for tournaments.

Teams U8 - U21 will have an opportunity to attend  pre skates in September . 

Hockey School and U7 will start their season in September
